A long time ago a friend of ours had a cat who had gotten some health problem for which he needed to go to the vet. One expensive visit later caused the cat’s owner to do some research on how to make home-made cat food and thus hopefully stave off future health issues for this cat.The friend told us that she cooked up hamburger and added some vegetables to it, thus making a type of premium pet food I guess you could say. This was all this cat got, good, lean hamburger with some of the best vegetables cooked and added to it.I often thought about doing this for our cats too, but the hassle involved was a deterrent in wanting to try it. Our cats are very finicky and I can just see going to all that effort for them and then having them turn their noses up at it when I put it before them. After all, they even turn their noses up at other premium pet food they’re not used to, so why wouldn’t they for this?
